Bellow you will find a copy of one of the nursing care plans for type 2 diabetes authored by myself (a registered nurse manager). An detailed commentary by myself can be found below the nursing care plan. Please read through the care plan to better understand standards of type 2 diabetes care.
6. Both document well Detectives keep careful notes of what they find. Nurses know if they didnt document what they did, as far as the world is concerned, they did not do it.
1. The eyes. There is no greater tool to a nurse than the eyes. You can tell a lot just by casting a quick glance at your patient. Straight away you can tell how critical they are just by observing their colour, the rhythm of their breathing, chest movement or lack of it, a bleeding wound, a swollen leg, urine colour and any other physical signs of distress you can think of. Once youve noticed an abnormality, you can proceed with caution.
Patient will keep a journal of total intake every time food is consumed and mark where improvement can be made. (accountability, ongoing education experience)
Nurse Practitioner: A Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse who has specialized training and education which allows them to carry out many tasks normally performed by a doctor. Such tasks include diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries. Some states allow practical nurses to write prescriptions.
